Domestic Violence Crisis Service (DVCS) operating since 1988 provides critical and holistic domestic and family violence support services to the ACT Community. Delivering 24/7 telephone crisis counselling, access to emergency accommodation, help with legal and court matters, training and education and other support programs for those subject to or use violence.
This is your opportunity to lead this critical service, which plays an integral and important role in our community not only working to have a world free from violence and abuse but delivering much needed support to individuals and families experiencing violence and abuse.
You will leverage the highly recognised work of this values-based organisation to continue to meet and deliver much needed services to the community whilst working to advocate and effect positive and informed change in the public/policy domain around domestic and family violence. You will look to a future world free from violence and abuse, working to foster the societal, structural and systematic changes needed to reduce violence and strengthen social justice in our community.
You will have strong values aligned to the mission and purpose of DVCS, with the proven capacity and experience to lead the organisation to deliver against its key objectives as well as achieving operational excellence through demonstrated strategic leadership including financial and business stewardship.
To be successful in this role you will be known for your commitment to the community and have clearly demonstrated your ability to deliver valued contributions. You will have the gravitas and communication skills to build effective partnerships, lead a valued team and engage with government, key sector representatives, donors, supporters and the broader community.
